Palo Alto Auto Repair

I wasn't scammed like some other reviewers, but I agree with the guys saying the service here is needlessly rude, at least if you end up dealing with the tan 30something douche who seems to run the place. One day I call in 20 minutes before closing time to ask if they can fit in one more smog check, and if I can get the $39 coupon price. He gives me some lip but eventually answers my question, so I say I'll try to be there in 10 minutes. I get there in 15 and get greeted with "you were supposed to be here 10 minutes ago" (demonstrating he can't count any better than he can behave himself) and "you KNOW we're about to close, right?" (yes... that's why I called). All this, yet he's still late in showing up and slow in processing the paperwork. Their gas is a rip anyway -- usually 30 cents higher than the Valero in south Palo Alto.

Highly recommended.

Ive brough both my vehicles in. They are clean, friendly and the price breakdown is on your receipt. Ive never had to make an appointment and they always have time for drop in.. Thank you Ravi!

My smog check appointment got lost, but you fit me in and the whole process took about the same amount of time as I had been told to expect. Easy in, easy out, very efficient!

Great and fast service

u guys rocked: i thought the battery needed to be replaced so u could have easily replaced it w/o telling me it wasn't a needed expense. Instead u tested it and told me it was fine and just needed charging. It's great to find an honest repair shop!

Kyle and his guys are incredible, professional, and accommodating. That is rare today. I have two cars, 2003 Ford Expedition and 2008 BMW 3 Series. I take both of them there for all services for the last six years. I have to drive 45 minutes to get to gas station. Who takes a car to a gas station to be worked on? To me, Palo Alto Shell is more a auto repair business than a gas station. They just happen to sell gas. Have no doubt that customer service is a priority for these guys. I just had my car starter replaced. It had to be towed on a Sunday. When I picked it up the car was washed and looked great. Thank you for still considering me a valuable customer after all these years. My appreciation.
