Pre Trip Vehicle Inspection Checklist

On the ground and around the exterior:

• Tire pressure
• Tire condition
• Spare tire condition
• Headlights,taillights,brake lights and turn signals
• Windshield wipers
• Mirrors

Under the hood:

• Oil level
• Transmission fluid level
• Coolant level
• Brake fluid level
• Power steering fluid level
• Windshield washer level
• Belts and Hoses
• Battery condition (no visible corrosion or leaking)

Inside the vehicle:

• Check the parking brake
• Gauges operational
• Any check engine or malfunction indictor lights illuminated
• Horn operational

Additional safety items:

• First aid kit
• GPS or maps of your destination/s
• Small tool kit
• Cell phone
• Any abnormal noises, or leaking fluids
