The price was great, the service was quick and excellent, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Couldn't've asked for anything more. These guys are the best around.

I had to ask Ravi if they were open yet after standing in front of shop til 8:15.He answered back with his hands up in air saying"I guess so".after asking about oil change,he asked me which car was mine.he acted like he didn't see it.i pointed next to the pump with the only car in lot.he asked if I could move it away from pump,so to make room for all the people getting gas.i didn't see any,but I moved the car to front of garage door.i guess that wasn't a good spot cause he asked for the key and moved it himself and chirped the tires cause he was having a bad morning.i then asked him if he was ok,if he was having a good day.he replied that he was.i don't care how good the work is if the service guy is being a dick.i won't tolerate being talked down to like that.thats not what I'm paying for.i guess I need to find a new shop.sucks cause I live right around the corner.

I initially came here for just an oil change while I was looking for a new mechanic (after my old one screwed me). I ended up speaking with the employee who maintenanced my car for an understanding of what they serviced--other than simply the oil. Everything seemed copacetic in terms of labor and cost. After reading the reviews on yelp, it was clear that I spoke with the manager, Ravi. I must say, I have never met a more genuine, assiduous and courteous individual in the car service industy. Ravi has given me advice on extending my cars longevity and he has still to this day beat every competitors price. I am very thankful to have found an honest person who knows my car. I have been going to Palo Alto Shell for three years now because of Ravi's service. If he ever leaves, I plan on going with him.

Amazing, efficient service--Palo Alto Shell ever fails

Bad experience overall. My car wouldn't start overnight so I had it brought to the Palo Alto Shell. The diagnosis itself cost $130, then $500 of repair. After that repair, the lights of the dashboard wouldn't switch on and they refused to recognize it was their error and wouldn't fix it. The car worked for one more week and then started again not to start. I had to repair it again and brought it to another auto repair, which this time fixed the car completely and fixed the dashboard lights.
